Dear Parents,

We are so honored and excited that you have chosen Arrow Academy as your school of choice.  We are fully committed to offering your child the absolute best education.  As evidenced by being named a Capturing Kid’s Hearts National Showcase School six years in a row, our commitment to building positive relationships with our students and their families is first and foremost.  We believe strongly that children learn best from those who love and respect them. 

Arrow Academy offers a Blended Instructional Approach to learning.  This simply means that each child has their very own learning path when engaged with their technology. This path is created using data based on what TEKS (objectives) they have mastered on the MAP test.  When learning from the teacher, students are engaged in small group learning  We are firm believers that children learn best when sitting next to a teacher as opposed to teachers lecturing to the whole group.  A blended learning approach also allows for student interests and learning styles to be incorporated into each lesson.  This is possible because of our commitment to keeping our classes small.

We are also committed to offering as safe an environment as possible!  In each of our classrooms, students help to create a Social Contract with their peers and teachers.  A Social Contract is an agreement on how we will treat each other so that we can learn in a safe environment.  We focus on teaching students about respect, problem solving, showing grace to others, giving 100% effort, etc.  Students learn character lessons and communication strategies so that when problems arise they can solve them in a productive way.  We also focus on our physical safety.  All of our exterior doors remained locked during the school day and new security measures have been put in place.  

Our staff is dedicated to closing any learning gaps displayed by our students.  This focus on academic growth has resulted in over 90% of our students meeting or exceeding their academic growth measures on the STAAR assessment.  We believe that the best way to positively impact our students is to build trusting relationships with them and to celebrate their academic growth
