My name is Ms. Neathery, and I am a first year teacher this year. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2015 with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology. From there I began my road to teaching back in my hometown of San Antonio, Tx. I worked as a teacher at daycare with three year olds, and then went on to become an instructional assistant for special education at a middle school. When I finally completed my teaching certification I knew that I had to get back to the Bryan/College Station area, as I had grown to LOVE the area, and it had become home. I am excited to be back in the Brazos Valley, and extremely excited to see what this year holds not only for myself, but for my students as well. I have no idea who will be in my class, but I already have an immense love for them, and I am excited to watch them learn and grow.
As an educator I firmly believe that communication between teacher, students, and parents is incredibly important. Not only do I want to know that my students are involved, but their families as well. I believe that it fosters not just a learning environment, but a learning community, and that students learn best in that environment. Learning is meant to be fun not boring, and I intend to make my classroom just like that. If at anytime you would like to contact me please feel free. If we can be a united front as parents and teacher there's no knowing how far these kiddos can go!
